College Committee on Assessment (CCA)

Mission

The mission of the College Committee on Assessment is to:

Major Tasks

CCA Membership

Memberships spans two to three years and is staggered. The committee aims for its membership to have balanced representation from academic departments, student service and other administrative departments and the college’s administration.

Program Review Subcommittee

Academic departments and support services participate in a formal review every five years followed by an ongoing, annual program review.  Through the assessment process, the College identifies expected outcomes for its educational programs and its administrative and educational support services; assesses whether outcomes are achieved; and provides evidence of improvement based on analyses of those results through its systematic and broad-based approach to assessment.

Program Review Subcommittee Membership

CCA members begin their service on this subcommittee during the year their program or department undergoes formal review. At the end of the year, they continue their service for a second term by attending CCA meetings. The Director of Educational Assessment chairs the committee and maintains an online repository of minutes, program reports, and related assessment tools to support the program review.
