"Sitting on the Board of Trustees for Goodwin College allows me to explore and execute on synergies between the institution, my organization, and various non-profits. This will hopefully result in the creation of self-sustaining programs that will benefit the long-term common goals of all these organizations, and ultimately the development of the students of Goodwin College. These will consist of, but not be limited to, work/study programs, educational initiatives, and business-consulting assistance."

Biography
Se-Min Sohn, a native of Seoul, South Korea, is currently a Business Development Manager at UPS, where his role centers on directing sales and marketing efforts in CT and Western MA. His career spans over 19 years, consisting of various positions in Operations Management, Human Resources, Logistics Consulting/Industrial Engineering, and Sales/Marketing.

Outside Se-Min’s participation as a Trustee of Goodwin College, he also sits on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the World Affairs Council of CT. In addition, he is actively involved with the Asian American Business Development Center, Catholic Charities of Hartford, Caribbean Trade Council, and the American Diabetes Association. He has lectured and sat on panels at UCONN, Western CT State University, and the University of Bridgeport.

Recently, Se-Min was recognized by the Asian American Business Development Center as one of the “Outstanding 50” Asian Americans for his efforts and contribution to business and the community.
