Community Partnerships
Consistent with the
philosophy that a college should provide vital services to the community,
Goodwin College has partnered with dozens of other organizations and
agencies to promote workforce development, community education and renewal,
and environmental stewardship.
Workforce Development
Goodwin College – with the
support of referring organizations and funding partners – trains hundreds of
people each year to enter or reenter the workforce in growing career fields.
Community Education and
Renewal
Goodwin College invites area
youth groups and summer camps to its campus for educational activities,
extends educational opportunities to the state’s immigrant population, and
engages in coordinated volunteer activities in partnership with a host of
area service organizations.
Environmental
Stewardship
In redeveloping brownfields
to build its campus on Riverside Drive in East Hartford and in planning its
new environmental science program, Goodwin College has partnered with
various environmental agencies at local, state and federal levels.
