Vinod Dhar

Vinod Dhar
has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Natural
Sciences for the last seven years. She has a Ph.D in Chemistry. Prior to
teaching at Goodwin College she spent several years teaching and
researching at well known institutions such as the University of Melbourne
and RMIT, both in Australia. Additionally, she did research at the
University of Connecticut. |
Eager to return to
teaching, Vinod responded to a newspaper ad drawing her to the faculty at
Goodwin College. The moment she stepped onto campus, she said, she knew she
had reached her destination, and has been very happy here since.
For Vinod, Goodwin is much
more than just a workplace. She credits President Mark Scheinberg as a
visionary. She says Goodwin has an amazing administration and wonderful faculty members who help
to create an environment that is friendly, inviting, and in many ways, a
family.
“It makes us feel so special
and I’m honored to be a part of this amazing Goodwin community and I cannot
see myself being anywhere else.”
Outside of the class room,
Vinod remains active in the Goodwin community as a member of several
committees and as leading Course Coordinator for Chemistry.
“I believe in Goodwin’s
philosophy that learning can be done at any stage and that giving back to
the community is important.”
Vinod is married and has two
children. |
