Our Story
Goodwin College was founded just over 10 years ago, and now welcomes more than 2,500 students throughout the year, while the Nursing program has grown to the second largest in the state.

Today, Goodwin College has completed the first phase of a multi-year expansion project with a campus on the banks of the Connecticut River in East Hartford. The 109,000 square foot building is an academic and student hub, including 39 classrooms, 8 labs, a two-story library and an 840-seat Auditorium — this is where you come in! On the first floor, off the main lobby, the Goodwin College Auditorium* has been host to the Goodwin College Commencement ceremonies, General David Petraeus, Senator Christopher Dodd and Representative John Larson, as well as other full house College and community events.

Make Yours the Best Seat in the House
Be part of our exciting growth by "Taking Your Seat" in the Auditorium. "Take your seat" enables you to dedicate seats to those you care about with a plate etched in brushed silver. On each brand new auditorium seat you dedicate, your plate will be mounted on the back.

Dedicate a seat... or two!
Dedicating seats helps students by providing increased funding for the Scholarship Fund, which supports the College's scholarship budget. This past year, nearly 90% of Goodwin College students needed financial aid. Goodwin College assisted these students with almost $2 Million in scholarships. The Goodwin College Foundation Scholarship Fund raised $100,000 to help. However, as the College's student body continues to grow, so does our students' need. That is why your support today is more important than ever.

Like two gifts in one!
Not only does your gift help a student, it honors someone special to you or who made your success possible. Honor a faculty member, your husband or wife, your child – the possibilities are endless!
